What is the Kindness Warriors Program?

The Kindness Warriors Program’s main goal is to help us ignite the fire of giving and gratitude in the children of our community. With a goal of movement building with the youngest members of our society, our program is meant to motivate kids to spend time doing random acts of kindness and community service. Kids complete these kind tasks, take photos of the Kindness Act in progress, and log their times. Before the end of the Kindness Act Period, a parent/guardian must submit the Kindness Acts. Kids earn raffle tickets to WIN PRIZES for each Kindness Act they perform. We place all raffle tickets in a bowl and pick winners for prize giveaways four times a year.

SEE BOTTOM OF PAGE FOR HOW TO ENTER!

Is this really FREE to participate?

Yes! Our goal is to make Madison a more loving and loved place to live in. The main goal is community building and love!

What are the Kindness Act Categories?

We split up Kindness Acts that children can choose to do into two categories, Community Service Kindness Acts & Personal Kindness Acts. Kids submit kindness acts and win raffle tickets to be entered into a Grand Prize Giveaway.

Community Service Kindness Acts : service based activities done in the child’s neighborhood, at local non profits, or in the community. We know that right now, due to COVID 19, this is less possible. We are instead offering a set of different ideas that can be done virtually for front line workers. Each project completed equals 1 raffle ticket into the drawing.

Personal Kindness Acts: task oriented activities done for the child’s friends, families, or neighbors. Due to the easier ability to earn these, kids can earn 1 raffle ticket for every two of these acts. Ideas are listed at the bottom of this page.

If your child has an act that they would like to do that is not listed on here, that is fine, but it needs to be approved first. Please email us at info@ignitewisconsin.com

When is your next giveaway and what are some of the prizes kids can win?

At this time, this program is on hold due to our founder, Ru, being in graduate school. Sign up to be informed of when we start again! The prizes in the first giveaway are fully sponsored by Ignite Wisconsin, BUT we are desperately in need of some more from the community.

Prizes may include:

  • Gift Cards to Trampoline Parks, Movie Theaters, Mini Golf, Climbing Wall Gyms, Amazon, Target (We’ll likely be focusing more on gift cards for toys, etc at this time due to COVID)

  • Toys & Games (new), Game Consoles, Video Games

  • Ignite Wisconsin Swag Bags

  • We try to give away atleast $200 - $300 worth of prizes each round of giveaways, but we are hopeful for more if the community rallies around this cause and donates items for giveaway. We will likely try to divide them into gifts worth about $20 each (or about 12-15 total prizes given). We’d like to giveaway more but due to unexpected loss of income, we are having to draw back a bit. See below for more info on how you can donate to the prize giveaway, if able!

Can I donate something to be given away for a prize giveaway?

Yes! Gift Cards would be most helpful during this time. Otherwise, we ask that your donation be something a child can use in some way. We love gift cards to fun family friendly entertainment places (think movies, trampoline parks, mini golf, etc). We also enjoy unopened new toys, game consoles, board games, and other fun activities for kids! We always thank our donors on our Facebook group and Facebook pages. We also thank them on our live video feed of our prize giveaways! Unfortunately our donations are not tax deductible at this time, but we hope that the movement you are helping us build is enough motivation to give! All donors must fill out our Kindness Warrior Donation Form (just click the button below!)

Where can I mail donated gift cards and other mailable items?

Please be sure to fill out our form (see button above) before mailing any items so we can properly track them!

Gift cards and other mailable items can be sent via mail to :

Attn KWGC (Ru)

7008 Longmeadow Rd

HOW TO ENTER:

The Kindness Acts Period (period of time we are taking entries) is from February 1 - July 1, 2023.

All Kindness Act submissions must occur between these date (Feb 1 - Apr 11) to be entered into our first prize giveaway on July 1, 2023.

In order to be eligible to win prizes, you must enter the following information by June 25, 2023:

  1. Have your child(ren) choose a Kindness Act they would like to do. Feel free to do as many as they’d like.

  2. Keep a log of all Kindness Acts. Be sure to note the Date, Length of time it took to do the Act, and take a photo of something that highlights the act you are doing. These photos do not need to include your child(ren) in them, if you do not feel comfortable doing so. We honor the privacy of your children and you! You may take photos of the finished tasks after a Kindness Act (projects, letters, raked yard, mowed lawn, happy dog that was just walked, etc) or you may take a photo of the sign at a non profit or of a staff member at the non profit you worked at. Be sure that you receive permission before taking photos of anyone! We know that several parents may want to share photos of their children with their face too as your kids may be very proud of the good they are doing! That’s fine too! Please do whatever you feel comfortable doing. These photos will not be shared unless you give us permission to do so.

  3. On the button below, you may submit your Kindness Acts. An adult MUST fill out the form for all acts. You may enter in multiple acts in one form entry. We encourage teachers, social workers, psychologists, non-profit community leaders, and religious leaders to use this to motivate their youth! It does not have to be a parent/guardian only. Do not forget you will need a photo as listed above.

  4. This must be filled out by an Adult who verifies that the Kindness Act did occur. You can fill out several acts on one form, so there’s no need to do each one individually. You can submit your Kindness Acts through the button below.

  5. Finally, you will want to mail all supporting photos for each Kindness Act to THIS EMAIL! It can be done as one large email if you want. Be sure to include your child’s name in the email. PHOTOS ARE REQUIRED TO PROVE THAT THE CHILD HAS FINISHED THE TASK. If you do not have a photo, please email us there and tell us why.

  6. Lastly, you will receive an email confirming the number of raffle tickets your child has received. This will happen within 2 business days, unless a prize drawing is within 2 days. You must enter in all of your submissions before APRIL 11, 2020 for the next drawing!
